We need more entrepreneuers, successful ones. Imagine all the families his businesses supported over the years by providing jobs. Sounds like he made good with his grandpappy's business.

But, a man can only take so much pressure sometimes. I think he must have had a lot of courage to do that. Most people are too chicken shit to end it all.

Brief story of one of my favorite men of history, the Scotsman, Major Howard Armstrong, below. Invented regenerative radio, which built a $ 4B industry during the Depression in the US. Then went on to invent FM radio, after the learned PhD's said it was mathematically unfavorable. He used deForest's invention in such a way that showed deForest didn't understand his own creation. My guess is that DeForest only prevailed the SC decision because of a PAYOFF by RCA. There is no other way reasonably possible for the outcome.
