Re: Ozone Generator to clear Mold and Drink
Ok. Let me give you some non-governmental research and study material on ozone. Like I said, as a Council-certified Indoor Environmental Consultant I do not recommend ozone generating devices to my clients. First off, available scientific evidence shows that at concentrations that do not exceed public health standards, ozone has little potential to remove indoor air contaminants; and, secondly, whether pure or mixed with other chemicals, ozone can be harmful to health. Here is a non-governmental study and educational resource:

These guys "are chemists, engineers and environmental professionals. We believe that factual, verifiable and easy-to-understand information needs to be provided to the public to help people make better decisions about the products and services they buy and their family's health." I hope that this helps to clear the air in relation to ozone and its effectiveness as a positive air purifying element. The last thing I'll add is that no air purifier should take the place of source control and moisture control. If someone has a situation regarding mold infestation in their built environment (whether physical on building components or an indor air quality pollutant), controlling moisture, making sure ventilation is correct, and removing the source are the basic and foundation of good remedial practice (as outlined in all Regulatory, Standard and Guidline practices). Finally, I might add, contacting the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (the people that wrote the Standard for Professional Mold Remediation) can help too. There is a gentleman there named Jeff Bishop who is their technical advisor. They can also explain (outside a government body) ozone and its impact on the indoor air quality, etc. Best wishes.
