Re: Why Is My Son Too Alkaline?

My first question would be - is the boy healthy? I'm a firm believer in the philosophy - "If it ain't broke - don't fix it!"

It is true if you are too far on either side of the pH scale - whether it's too acidic or too alkaline, it can cause a diseased state. The irony is that if the doctor wanted to give him some form of citric acid, I would assume he was talking about the kind of acid you find in lemons or limes. When we use lemons or limes in the body, they are very alkalizing.

Our bodies fluctuate all the time depending on what we are eating and what we are doing - again, the first thing I would be concerned about is his health - how does he feel? Does he have a good immune system? Is he active? Is he happy? If the answers to these questions are yes - my opinion is, you're doing a good job.

If you want to make someone acidic - all you have to do is introduce more nuts, cooked foods, dairy, - all the things most people gourge on on a daily basis.

Hope this helps, Dr Mom
