Eating 10 carrots would take you a looong time, because you would have to chew them very well. Do you have that much free time? Pulp is just fiber, and you can get fiber elsewhere. If you ate them, the digestion would take a long time. Juice digests pretty fast. If you need more fiber in your diet, save the pulp and eat if later.
