Many people work at McDonalds and other non-skilled jobs because they don't have the brain power to do any other kind of work.
I'm not so certain about that. Many times people put limitations on themselves. They just have to get out of their own way.
The question is, do we as a society give a hand to these people by enforcing minimum wage laws, making sure that workplace safety laws are obeyed or do we put them into the "untouchable" class of people that we don't think about and don't help.
That's what it boils down too doesn't it? That is what some people argue government is for. Do you perceive them to be idiots and they can't help themselves? And now government has to confiscate from those who are more successful. Forget the fact that there are some companies who do hire above the minimum wage. I heard of two of them. They do it in order to hire those who really do want to work and not just because they expect a handout. Costco and Panera Bread are two of those big companies but there are probably more.
