Your theory of capitalism is flawed. It is flawed because if everyone in America had a college degree, some of them would still have to work for McDonalds. (Quoted from the Glenn Beck show). Of course Glenn Beck refuted it in his way but I have my views on it.
Not everyone in
There are going to be students who are 18-20 year olds who work at McDonalds but will eventually earn a degree.
What do they have in communist and socialist countries? Do you want your government to tell you and everyone else what not to eat?
Would you be ashamed of your presidential candidate if he worked at McDonalds when he was 18 years old and worked his way up? Or would you at least be alerted and concerned about your candidates judgement ability if he grew up with a silver spoon in his mouth and the government gave him and his family what they wanted?
They cannot defeat us conservatives in the arena of debate.
And I don't think it matters if the candidate worked at McDonalds as a kid, or grew up extremely rich, or grew up on government assistance. What matters to me, in the end, is does the candidate have the same agenda as I have?
You seem to be a young person. I might be able to dig up some evidence that when you grow up rich and receive handouts, it will effect the way that person governs a society or even a business. King George III comes to mind. I bet he grew up this way. Just read the Bill of Rights and you will see a ton of accusations against him.
Those who struggle seem to be much more grounded. My boss isn't perfect but I can tell that he didn't grow up with a silver spoon in his mouth.
Does this mean that you like the way Bill Clinton governed and you didn't like the way George Bush and his daddy governed?
I like the way congress governed after 1994. Remember the media reported it as a "republican takeover"? I guess they felt it was some sort of illegitimate election. Who sends the president legislation? It was Bill Clinton who believed it wasn't his job to fight with the republican congress.
As far as the Bushes are concerned, they either intentionally or unintentionally miss opportunities to explain conservatism. Maybe they really don't believe in it.
Many people work at McDonalds and other non-skilled jobs because they don't have the brain power to do any other kind of work.
I'm not so certain about that. Many times people put limitations on themselves. They just have to get out of their own way.
The question is, do we as a society give a hand to these people by enforcing minimum wage laws, making sure that workplace safety laws are obeyed or do we put them into the "untouchable" class of people that we don't think about and don't help.
That's what it boils down too doesn't it? That is what some people argue government is for. Do you perceive them to be idiots and they can't help themselves? And now government has to confiscate from those who are more successful. Forget the fact that there are some companies who do hire above the minimum wage. I heard of two of them. They do it in order to hire those who really do want to work and not just because they expect a handout. Costco and Panera Bread are two of those big companies but there are probably more.
Conservative is just a personality that has a predatory view of society.
This should tell us that free markets should bring out the worst in people but it doesn't. Centralized power does.
Conservatism is based on principles.

If liberals are more altruistic, then tell me why (as Rush Limbaugh told us today on his show) conservatives on ALL Levels of income give more than liberals do. Conservatives also donate more blood than liberals do. If liberals gave more blood, the supply would go up some 42% (I am quoteing off what I heard of the show today.) Of course, why would America want more liberal blood?
Also, a liberal and a true conservative would obviously govern differently. Therefore, both positions are more than just personalities.
