I disagree. If they are going to claim that the hormones are "bioidentical" then they have to admit that they have the same effects on the body as natural hormones. And it has been proven that our own hormones can contribute to cancer.

Here are a few more things to keep in mind:

-Most pharmaceutical synthetic hormones are made from plant sterols, just like the "bioidentical hormones".

-The term "bioidentical" is very misleading. Just because a compound has the same type and number of atoms does not mean it is identical. For example glucose, fructose, and galactose are all C6H12O6, but are all different sugars. There is no way for the manufacturers to confirm that every atom is in the same position and that all bond angles are exactly the same.

-Terms like "natural progesterone" are misleading. All commercial progesterone is synthesized in a lab. They have not had natural progesterone on the market since around the 1940s.

-Exogenous hormones whether natural or synthetic will atrophy the glands that normally produce those hormones. It is safer to support the glands that naturally produce the hormones.

-These hormones build up in the fat tissues of the body, which can lead to serious problems in the long run.

I once had a lady come to me with estrogen levels off the chart. Come to find out that she was not only taking bioidentical hormones but also DHEA, which was also raising her hormone levels. Great example of how people get in to trouble by fooling with their hormones without understanding how they are formed or work.
