Pain Associated with Parasite Infection

Recently I have had a dull, poking pain in my upper left side of my abdomen. My doc gave me NuLev thinking it was a spastic colon. The meds have no effect. I switch from diarrhea to hard stools a lot lately, notice what looks like little threads in them, wake up at 2-3 in the morning, and suffer from the 3 times a week headache. After much reading I think its parasites, I ate a lot of very rare meat and pork during the last six months while weight lifting (more creatine supposedly). I don’t know if anyone out there has actually felt this kind of discomfort with parasites but it feels like they have collected in the upper left corner of my large intestine. I have started (tonight) with concentrated garlic and pumpkin seeds hoping to get rid of them. How soon will they vacate and has anyone had the poking pain in the upper left corner of the abdomen and had parasites?
