In regards to cigarettes/nicotine addiction
Hello everyone,
I was just wondering if there is anyone out there that has water fasted to quit smoking. I haven't read all the posts lately, but my last fast was this past June which lasted for a total of 7 days. It didn't really count because I was smoking cigarettes the entire fast. Previous to that my first fast was a little over a year ago I think when Mouseclick was on his first one (last Dec 1.) mine was for 5 days and my only true
Water Fast because I had distilled water and only that. The withdrawal symptoms were horrible the first 3 nights but I actually did not smoke for 12 days after the fast until holiday dinner parties and a little booze and boom.. back hooked on nicotine. I'm considering starting a fast on Dec. 17 the day after my Logic final. I am aiming for a total of 5 days. That way I can have enough time to refeed and eat at least some cooked food by the time I get home to Dallas because my mom would go crazy if she new i've been doing this. I have already started eating only fruits and veggies but am still on the caffeine and cigarettes. I normally don't drink anything with caffeine but hey its finals. Also, here in Austin, TX we have 6th street which I have frequented more that a few times this semester. I just wanted to post this because most people on this forum fast for weight loss and my main reason is for addiction. Hopefully someone might share some experiences with me and other people.
As far as my health goes: I am a 26 year old male 5'9 ft. and 160 pounds. I can run a 5k in 28.5 minutes... BUT I'll have to smoke a cigarette at least 30 minutes afterwards. I eat pretty healthy but not raw all the time and I do eat meat. I smoke around 15 cigarettes a day.. sometimes less, sometimes more. I really want to quit, but regardless of how long its going to take I still plan on fasting twice a year. Once in the summer and once in the winter. Its good for your body, at least thats my opinion. I remember Fonty saying he liked to fast in the cold. It doest get that cold in Texas. I should be able to stay warm. Anyways, just taking a study break, yeah on a Saturday night whoop de do. Good luck to everyone who is fasting. I've only posted once before but the information on this forum and just reading everyone's support to each other has always been motivating. Chiron: I actually made the soup but with way less garlic and added salt but it was freaking good. Thank you to Chris B got me hooked to

and to Fonty for being cool haha.. and everyone else who asked all the questions for people like me who just leech information.
Take Care Everyone and I'm looking forward to fasting with anyone who will be fasting this upcoming week.
