Goverment officials have claimed they have seen it and vouch for it.

Yes, but no government official nor anyone else has said that they have seen it and vouch that it says Obama was born in Hawaii instead of born in Kenya and his birth certificate recorded in Hawaii. A rather glaring omission given the nature of the controversy. All they would have to do is make that simple statement. Just like the question of why Obama will not obtain a copy of the original and release it, why do they not make the definitive statement?
