My 3+ years as a 'glaucoma candidate'

I had what they told me was a 'stroke' in the back of one eye...an accident...a tiny bit of bleeding which scared the beejeebers out of me.

The eye specialist (an eye surgeon) couldn't see much about what 'caused' it, but did notice that the pressure in both eyeballs was borderline high.

I believe he figured my vision symptoms would go away on their own, though I didn't drive again for years.

This guy might be an expert, but he was very taciturn (didn't say much).

Meanwhile, I kept up every appointment...faithfully. He had told me that glaucoma could easily make me blind, so he wanted to watch that pressure. Gulp.

It was at least a couple of years later that I learned two things...

...His repeated diagnosis of, 'No change', was very good news indeed.

...His concern for me was reflected in the length of time he requested between appointments....every month, every three months, twice a year, and finally, annually, when he'd really rather I not bother him until another eye 'event'.

I was left with the impression that borderline high eye pressure was 'hereditary', though I don't think it is.

During the three years I saw this man, I learned lots about making and keeping myself well.

...About parasites, for one example, and the worth of various 'salts'. You can be sure that food processors don't use anything expensive in their products...so we had best start with simple, home-prepared foods.

Now I have learned that, if the micro organisms are diminished in our growing soil, we can't get the nutrients we need. Period.

Nutrition is dimished in foods when the soil is tilled. It has been diminished since the 1930's.

The solution? Grow your own, on heritage land.

Grow your own among existing weeds and grasses...and only dip your produce in a basin of water, to remove the grit...but leave as many soil micro organisms clinging to the veggies as you can.

parasite cleanse with a herbal dewormer twice per year, and trust your immune system.

And, get plant-balanced crystal mineral salts, through your skin, in full, hand, or footbaths...as I describe here...

All this is a leap of faith, I know, if you haven't yet read much about taking care of your health.

At least, as you read, and try things, come back to this little post of mine once in a while. See if it now makes more sense to you.

With the affection of one who has 'been there',
