Thank you for your story
I hope others that read this know that they are in charge of themselves!!!!
I was diagnosed with Polycythemia Vera. Basically, it was a life sentence of about 15 years. I was mortified and started thinking of what I will be able to do within the next 15 years. As long as that many years seems, it is not that long. I did not want to be gone from my daughter's lives when they are 30. So I went from depressed to enraged. I was going to live my life to the fullest. I was going to shop and buy everything I did not NEED, but buy it because I WANTED to!! I was going to do everything with my kids, not because I WANTED to, but because I NEEDED to for them. I was going to make sure the next 15 years meant everything to me and my husband and my kids!!!!
Thank goodness, I was mis-diagnosed. But for 2 weeks, it was a life sentence, and now I live like tomorrow will not come!!!!
The "Pay It Forward" is so, so true. I remember calling Triple A for a young lady who had locked her keys in her car. When they got there and unlocked her car, she offered me $20. I told her "No". I asked her that if she ever met someone who needed help, to please help them as much as she can. Now, I had never met this girl, and didn't even remember her name later. Well, about 3-4 months later, I pulled up to a gas station that I NEVER go to because it was not in the area that I lived, I just happened to be in that area that night. There she was, and she knew exactly who I was. She ran up to me, and said she remembered what I said, and was there helping someone she did not know with a flat tire. I was so proud of her. I just asked one thing of her. When she is done, make sure she asks the person she was helping to PAY IT FORWARD!!!!!!
Amazing!!!!! I hope everyone reads this, and feels love in their heart!!!!
