Re: The Secret Life of Germs
Hello Lori,
While the
Miracle-Mineral-Supplement protocol for general illness is flawed, there may be something to the
Miracle-Mineral-Supplement protocol for malaria. This is a hard area for me to check out because I don't live in an area effected by malaria.
Jim Humble may have thrown in a few things that seem to make sense, but are still unproven, and then went on to expand from there.
If the flora in the GI tract is the cause of your illness, and if a high concentration of chlorine dioxide can wipe out all of the flora in the GI tract, then it may be beneficial to take one or two doses to clean things out. After that, you should concentrate on building a healthy and balanced flora.
If we look at the original malaria protocol, people were given a solution that had 3 - 5 PPM free chlorine dioxide (15 drops activated with apple cider vinegar in a glass of water) twice, then they went home free from symptoms, according to the accounts related by Jim Humble. I actually find this part of his story plausible... but once again this is very difficult to verify.
I don't know the best way to use a sodium chlorite solution to regain health... I can make some educated guesses, but I don't know what is going on inside the body and what long term effects can be expected.
It is believable that chlorine dioxide does get into the blood stream, but we don't know what happens after that. Too high a concentration will kill off red blood cells, but it seems to take a lot to get there.
I think that oxidative therapies should only be considered for short term exposure. There is a wide variety of anti oxidants in most of what we eat and this counters the oxidation potential of oxidants.
With this in mind, it may be worth considering fasting for a day and only drinking water. The next day a small concentration dose may be as effective as a larger concentration dose on a full stomach. After this fast and treatment, an effort could be made to remove the resultant free radicals produced during this treatment, and to build up the flora and immune system through proper diet.
This is not something that would be done every day, but would have to be tailored to the illness you are trying to recover from.
The dose would also have to be determined. You want to take enough to do the job, but not too much. All of this would require a lot of study and testing.
Externally, there are a lot of uses for sodium chlorite and chlorine dioxide. You can mix up a solution in a spray bottle and disinfect counter tops, cutting boards, and other surfaces. You can even spray that solution on cuts and puncture wounds to hold off infection.
Mold and mildew can be controlled with the spray solution, and clothing and bedding can be disinfected as well.
Oral hygine can be enhance by mixing up a mouthwash and using it after brushing your teeth.
You can also treat your drinking water.
All of these uses will remove some of the microbial load on your system.
One of the problems with the
Miracle-Mineral-Supplement protocol is that it uses a 28% sodium chlorite solution, and you have to deal with very small quantities of it. These small quantities are difficult to activate with acid, so the tendency is to use too much acid. It is much easier to dilute the 28% solution down to something that is easier to dispense and use.
Most of industry uses a 5% sodium chlorite solution and there has been a lot of testing done on the most effective activation of that concentration. I think we should follow their lead and use optimum activation methods.
The concentration of MMS that may be effective without side effects is what Jim Humble originally came up with. This is the 0.1 - 1.0 PPM concentration. In order to get this using the 28% sodium chlorite solution and 10%
citric acid , you would use about 1 drop activated in 1 liter of water. It would be better to use 1 drop of the 28% sodium chlorite solution, then add 5 drops of water to it, then activate with 6 drops of 10%
citric acid .
