cottage cheese and flax seed in smoothie?
i have been hearing about the cottage chese/flax seed for a while now and we have recently started taking some just as a preventative. my hubby actually really enjoys it and has the cheese/oil/seed almsot every day at lunch. he use to love eating just plain cottage cheese, now that he gets to add a little something in to make it super heatlhy he is all in for it!!
for myself i like the cheese/seed but once the oil is in there i dont really like it.
plus i cant find a good time of the day to have it and make it part of my routine. on weekends it works great as part of lunch but on weekdays it just doesnt work.
so now i make it part of my morning smoothie. i already put flax seed and chia seed in my smoothie. with banana, straberies, frozen blueberries, stevia, oj and pom juice. so now i started putting a tbsp or 2 of cottage cheese in there.
is there any reason this wouldnt 'work' as well as if i were to take it seperatly?
also could the cottage cheese be replaced with yogurt or kefir?
