Hydrochloric acid is excreted in the stomach and necessary for good digestion...essential for breaking down proteins and also triggers the release of other digestive enzymes like pepsin. It also naturally helps to kill bacteria, fungi and parasites...and many people are deficient. Supplemental HCL...sometimes called betaine HCL...is safe and beneficial for digestion, and would probably help to eliminate parasites on produce if used as a spray or wash. Tweet
