Re: The Great Cholesterol Con.
I have Heart Failure, Persistent Atrial Fibrillation , Chronically High Blood Pressure, Insulin Resistance, Pre-Diabetes, High Cholesterol and High Triglycerides. That said, I went on a frequent eating, small meal, low calorie, low carb diet in order to give myself a better chance at survival. I could not tolerate Statins, so I took nothing for my High Cholesterol and my High Triglycerides.
I've been on the diet since December 2004. Since then, my health has dramatically improved. My blood pressure is at very healthy levels, at around 118/72, ALL the time. I've lost 50 pounds. I feel much better, all the time. One surprise was that my Cholesterol and Triglycerides are at very healthy levels. I did not diet in order to lower my Cholesterol and Triglycerides and I did not take any medicine or supplements in order to lower my Cholesterol and Triglycerides. It just happened.
That tells me that a healthy diet will not only greatly improve one's health but will also lower Cholesterol and Triglycerides, which proves to me that High Cholesterol and High Triglyceride levels are unhealthy and a result of unhealthy diets.
