If They're Both the Same, Why Bother?
One thing I keep trying to understand on this forum (I know, that's a fool's errand) is the people who think that no matter who is elected, McCain or Obama, the New World Order
Conspiracy will still continue to actually run everything from their secret headquarters in an underground lair in the Swiss alps.
If that's the case, why bother posting all of these attacks on Obama, and praise of McCain? If it doesn't matter who wins, why try convincing people that Obama is a foreign-born Muslim Socialist babykiller who will take away your guns and send every conservative republican to re-education camps? Why are so many millions of dollars being spent on both campaigns? Why are so many people writing articles and op-ed pieces supporting one over the other?
In 2000, I voted for Ralph Nader. I really believed what he said was true: that there wasn't a dime's worth of difference between the Republican and Democratic parties. Now we know the truth. There was a difference: one party was willing to bankrupt the country by declaring war on a country that posed no threat to us; was willing to turn what was a surplus into a deficit by lowering taxes on rich people and corporations; was willing to let the "free market" go crazy and send us spiraling into a recession, and possibly a depression. That party was not the Democratic one.
