--answer--Calcium & Magnesium ratios?--
Hi west4,
Your question: I was trying to say that the calcium/magnesium ratio matters and that's why I buy them and take 1000mg of calcium to 500mg of magnesium. By taking epsom salt with every meal how do you know if you are not taking more magnesium than the calcium in the alkalizing drink? You don't but I know that I take the right ratio with store bought calcium and magnesium. This is a sound way of doing it as opposed to just taking some epsom salt with every meal without knowing what calcium/magnesium ratio you are taking. I wouldn't know how many mg of calcium are in one tablespoon of lime water and how many mg of magnesium in a pinch of epsom salts. Isn't the ratio supposed to be 2:1?
And from your previous post: I put the calcium carbonate and magnesium in the alkalizing drink and it tastes really good.
Answer: As you have stated you are using Calcium Carbonate and may also be the same kind of magnesium?
So, let us ask a question: If you swallow Two Glass marbles that have Calcium inside of one and magnesium inside of the other, just how much Calcium and magnesium are you going to get from the Glass Marbles made available?
In other words just because we may take a Calcium and Magnesium in a 2:1 ratio does not mean that our body is going to be able to utilize it in this ratio?
Could it be that you may be forgetting about the available surface area and Different reactive abilities of the Different sources of Calcium and Magnesium in question compared to the Lime water and Epsom Salt?
As usual not everything may be as it may 1st seem to be !
