It's not that the Chinese have high IQs Roky, but that they have a different motivation level to achieve. From the time they are born, it is all about education, money and achievement. You forget that people who come to this country are usually very motivated to succeed, to the point that they push their children very hard to do well in school, in fact, it becomes of prime importance in their lives.
I had Chinese friends who never watched television and for whom the entire family sacrificed to get them ahead, including eating a very limited diet so as to purchase computers and other learning materials. These friends rarely, if ever, played outside or had friends over. If they got a bad grade they might as well have committed suicide.
So yes, they tend to do well in school and the overwhelming focus on education is reflected in their grades and educational achievement.
