Well as far as the elections go, 2000 was the straw that broke the camels back for me, first no recount in FLA, Supreme Court Intervention in a state affair (we vote by our states not by the federal government), and the real clincher Al Gore would not cast the deciding vote in his own favor for a recount (in congress).Actually I can't remember what that issue was where he declined as president of the senate to cast the deciding vote in his own favor, was it for another recount? Anyway remember?
