To follow up on your follow up - the Democrats let the moratorium on energy expire because they were fully aware that the country was against extending it. This is an election year, they are not dumb. To follow up to your follow up on the economy, this was started in the 1970's when they set up a system for the federal government to help people get housing, affordable housing it was called. Sort of a start, plus other things they did back then, to the downward spiral we are in right now.
