Re: grim reminder

Thank you for your concern and caring :)

My neighbor went to the Houston airport
to put his wife on a plane up to their
daughter's in Oklahoma. He said that
Conroe and places like Spring and Magnolia,
which are places near to us are in terrible
shape. I am going to stay hunkered here
as much as possible until I hear there
is full power everywhere. We've had power
fail three times today. We are getting
our tree removed from the roof today and
the damage looks worse than I thought.
It is discouraging when most of us work
so hard to get a little ahead or to keep
up. Anyway, my triumph of the day was
getting up on the roof on the other end
and doing a girl job of tarping it. I
tied big nuts on cording to the ends of
the tarp, crawled up to the crown and tossed
the lines and nuts over the other side. It
worked and made it easy then to position
it and once I shimmied on my belly back
down to the ladder and crawled down, I
staked the lines like you might a tent.
Probably not like a man would do it but
I am rather pleased I was able to get
'er done before the rain chances this
weekend. Also, the view from the roof
was amazing.

blessings,
Zoe
