RB I don't recommend San Diego for you. It would probably give you nightmares being so close to the border, although from what I hear the illegal problem is not as bad there as you would think because that is one part of the border where security is pretty tight. I can't afford a mansion right on the beach. Anywhere within 3-5 miles will do. Yeah, government pensions are a pretty sweet deal. I could have retired at 65 and gotten 80% of my salary for the rest of my life. Sure as hell beats social security.
