I did research before I started doing urine therapy and bought the book, Your Own Perfect Medicine. In the book, they did research that said when people drank otgher liquids right before or right after drinking urine, there were no noticeable improvememnts. Those who drank undiluted urine first thing in the morning and did not drink or eat anything righ afterwards had great results.

I have heard people on this forum and in the Yahoo Urine Therapy forum state they mix it in with juice or whatnot and post about seeing improvements. Maybe it doesn't affect the efficacy of it, but I decided with the mixed answers not to take my chances. I bring a glass in the bathroom with me and I drink it plain before it has a chance to get cold.
