I have successfully cured my wife's asthma before I discovered UT. Perhaps you'd like to give it a try if your son is afraid of injections.

Ingredients : Manuka Honey (UMF Grade 10 or above), Cinnamon powder

Only get true Manuka Honey with UMF trademark (the UMF labelling is a trademark where only a handful brands are registered, mostly from New Zealand, the only place it's found) I bought the bottles from http://www.comvita.com . Any UMF grade 10, 15, 20, 25 is good, the higher grade the better. Manuka honey is anti-bacterial/fungal/viral. Tastes good too! But it is more expensive than normal honey. Those UMF 30 are sold as treatment gauze for burn victims.

Any grade of Cinnamon powder (finely powdered) is good to use. It is easily found in the spices sections of supermarkets. The Indians use a lot of cinnamon powder for cooking, so look for it at Indian shops if you can't find it.

Mix one or two teaspoon of Manuka honey into lukewarm water. Stir thoroughly.
Add a *tiny* dash of cinnamon powder (not more than a fingertip squeeze) onto the honey drink. Stir again before drinking. If not used to the smell of cinnamon, add a few drops of lemon/lime/orange juice for taste.

Drink once or twice a day. My wife saw results within a week. Another friend with chronic kidney disease was having asthma every night during sleep. The Manuka honey mix gave much relief. She could sleep much better with the drink.

My wife also use Manuka honey for cuts, burns and mouth ulcers for my daughter. Most minor cuts will heal within a day or two. Try it, you won't be disappointed.
