Re: Liver flush abuse

I haven't heard of hair loss directly associated with hair loss. As you are both suffering then you may need to look at other factors. Hair loss can be associated with liver and thyroid problems but it can also be triggered by a large number of other things, such as; stress, anaemia, hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism. Changes in diet or increased loss in nutrients may be responsible, including, essential fatty acid deficiency, zinc deficiency, protein deficiency (common with vegetarian diets), too much vitamin A. The third category are drugs and hair loss is associated with drug toxicity, beta blockers, ACE inhibitors, amphetamines, and even anti-cholesterol agents.

The usual advice is to stop liver-flushing and other supplements too give the body chance to recover. Less is more in the case of detoxification, especially liver cleansing.
