Re: recommendations for poor people with no insurance
I don't think its helpful to just tell someone to go to Mexico to have their fillings replaced. For one thing, unless he knows about getting the proper procedure, this patient may not seek that and may be exposed to a lot of mercury during the treatment. Even if he does go to a trained biological dentist, the dentist may not do a good job. I say this because I know of several people who have had to do the work over here in the states, because of less than adequate work in Mexico.
There is carecredit.com, which gives credit for people to have dental work done. I don't know if you are able to be approved or if you are able to afford making payments, but this option is available. I plan to do this, for my treatment which will cost 10,000 or more. They have no interest loans if you pay the money back within 18 months. If you take longer they charge interest. I have been exploring going to Mexico, and so far have not found a dentist who I believe is worth going to and spending many thousands of dollars on. I think the best option is to find someone in the US, and borrow the money if necessary.
