Re: But light and love murders, does it not?

For some, the body is the biggest nuisance of all. It wants the largest piece of cake at a party, a spendy meal when others go hungry. Not to say the body is evil, it just sometimes seems to want to go one way when themind and will want it to go another; a bit like trying to walk a rambunctious Basset hound on a country road--the hound-body wants what it wants and the will and might of the person walking it can barely keep it in tow.// That aside, the image of fire, burning and burning as we journey from time to timelessness, as the dead weight of un-love is consumed and only love arrives in heaven--that vivid image burns in the imaginings of many who live in the west and watch the fires consume the fallen timber, the beetle invested pines, the hundred year build up of useless dead wood--and the forests burn and burn and then in the spring, coming through the melting snow is the abundance of new life; little seedling pines and morel mushrooms and rivulets of water everywhere feeding the new life. So on the murder/kill thing, I wonder; is it killing to remove what is already dead in us? What if the only living part of our being is love? Burning, burning all the dead wood frees us for a new life.
