Jessesmom, this link is important to understanding mercury...
...At least, for me.
You gave it in the post below...

It will take me a while to write this post, so please return here until I add the last sentence stating that this post is finished. Thanks.

[NOTE: This last page linked answers some of my questions!]
This link, and the pages that follow it (linked in the article), are the easiest to understand that I have ever read on the subject.
Though I have some difficulties with the article itself...particularly a bit of confusion in the abreviations used around the word 'glutathione'...the article leads me to ask the following questions...
...Who is the author? Apparently they are representing a clinic where children are treated.
[Written and compiled by Dr John Whitman Ray N. D., M.D. (M.A.)]
I can understand that they are likely not prepared to take an onslaught of questions or clients, but I would definitely like to hear more of their suggestions for treatment...especially their best guesses for home remedies using foods, baths, etc., and these for use by older people than teenagers.
(I don't want much, do I?)
...What are the readily available food, bath, etc., sources of the chelating materials they mention...AND...what quantities, when, would be their best guesses?
...Who else understands these findings? Who may we turn to for basic assistance or rudimentary guidelines?
It is my guess that food and bath substances would be the least difficult for the public to try...and that trying them widely may advance study of mercury poisoning remedies rapidly.
I get the impression that the body is able to chelate or store mercury and other toxins far more easily than
Science has yet imagined...else we'd have been dropping like flies long before this.
If we had the best guesses of folks like this, and used only the foods and baths that are considered 'safe', we may be able to take these toxins more in our stride.
Also, it is obvious that we must avoid the poisoning in the first place...beginning with keeping our children away from dentists until they can prove they do good, and no harm.
Someone on CureZone suggested that the combination of exhaled breath with saliva actually causes new tooth materials to slowly heal holes in teeth. It would also seem logical to eliminate bacteria that erode teeth.
Scientifically, these things will likely take a very long time to 'prove'.
I, for one, can't wait.
Since I already have the 'problems'...the only smart thing to do is to find simple things to try to alleviate them.
Lots of us 'trying' may assist science.
This post is now finished...except that I will be reading and asking questions...probably for quite a while.
To everyone's well-being,
Fledgling
