Lead and Mercury

Yes, lead in Roman wine. It was also in ladies make-up, to obtain that pale skin which was fashionable.

Now there is Mercury in many wines. Last year I went to a hardware shop in a wine producing country and saw huge bottles of Mercurochrome amidst the corks, distillers etc. I asked what those were for.
Answer : they clean the barrels with THAT!

Needless to say I started to test all wines with my pendulum and I found about half of them contained mercury.
You have been warned!

Half of them did not contain mercury though! Life IS possible, you just need a bit of care. :-)
