Liver
Hi Bloated,
When I read your posts, what comes immediately to my mind is the liver. If the liver is not functioning correctly, it will cause problems with the bowels- but you've heard that before.
You might consider either going back to the ND you had started with, or finding another ND and asking specifically to have the Liver detox test done. I can compare it to my father's septic problems--he had his septic tank pumped out, thinking that was going to do the trick, and it's continued to fill up immediately--the problem is in the leech line/drain field. Same thing with the liver detoxing- if the first pathway is liquifying the toxins, but the 2nd pathway is not functioning to eliminate them--they back up just like my father's septic tank. I can imagine the parasites/bacterias etc seeing it as the perfect resort for them.
If you put in a search here on CZ for Glutathione, and read what is needed for the liver to produce glutathione, you'll find that
coffee enemas are not just good for cleaning out the bowel, which includes dead parasites- but it also detoxes the liver and aids in glutathione production.
I'd be diligent in taking the Barefoot's Lower Bowel Balance daily- increase the 4 capsules if needed, seriously consider doing
coffee enemas (which are a major part of Gerson cancer therapy), and trying to get back with an ND that would consider the liver function in this.
I would be hesitant to do liver flushes, or attempt to do any kind of liver detox with a backed up bowel. I just did a one month total body detox through the Alt Health physician, with alot of emphasis on cleaning out the intestines and making sure the elimination pathways (lymph, kidneys etc) are working well before focusing on detoxing the specific things in the liver.
Liver Flushing has gotten alot of gunk out of my liver- including dead parasites. I've also found that getting stones out of the liver, exposed
parasites in there to kill them better, so it's gone hand in hand.
I hope you can find a good ND that can help you through this--there's alot more involved than I would have ever realized, including getting all the glands balanced- the hypothalmus, pituitary, thyroid and adrenals--and thymus, which is immune system.
And
food sensitivities /allergies.
