Legal recourse for knowingly infecting someone?

I recently found out I have been infected with genital herpes by someone who knew they were infected since two years ago. His ex-wife told me that is how she found out he was cheating. Wish I knew that before I met him. She found out she had it but had only been with him. I still don't know if he ever got tested. HELP. Is there any legal recourse I can seek? Has anyone else gone through trying to seek legal action? What was the outcome? Tweet
