I'm not an insurance expert, and policys vary.

As a practical matter, when you sign up for insurance, you usually sign a waiver to allow the insurance company to look at your medical records if they want. Whether they'd check PP records or not, I don't know.

About your symptoms.. You didn't saw whether your herpes is genital or oral. If genital, as I suspect since you went to PP, it's unlikely that those symptoms would be related to genital herpes. Herpes is localized.

If you are dishonest with the insurance company and they find out, they have the right to drop or restrict your coverage.

I'm not sure this helps a whole lot and, again, I'm hardly an expert on insurance.
