cold sore treatments that work

I've have been getting cold sores since I was around 11. I've done some research and found out that cold sores come from herpes sipmex one. I usually suffer from cold sores every 11-2 month, and I have tried many different creams, and pills. I've heard if some "miralce" creams that are suppose to make the cold sores go away in about 72 hours. Has anyone found a treatment that really works well? Please give
