Seven decades have taught me that we get MORE of what we focus on...and that the world is full of more possibilities than we can dream.

Your daughter is at a perfect age to aspire in any direction she chooses...and get there.

Yesterday is just an echo...'real', of course, but not the only reality.

Please let her focus on the great and beautiful things she can do and experience.

Doctors will focus on the one past experience and its possible effects on her future, if you ask them to. I'm sure she knows many possibilities in that direction.

But there are so many more things within her. She knows what she prefers. Let her.

I know we'd love to know every detail of our futures, pick and choose our paths, free of all obstacles...though we can't...especially not for another.

But we can acknowledge and encourage their talents...we can give our approval and support, confident they will grow into an excellent life, on their own, with only love and trust from us.
