Re: Organic eggs, or Free Range eggs?

I have my own chickens, they are fed a natural food(can't afford organic chicken food), no hormones, or anti-biotics in it. Also, I put CS in their water. They are really free range, running all over the place most of the time. They go into their coops at sundown, and are locked up for the night, for their own protection. The yolks are almost red. To have your own chickens is the way to go, if you like good eggs. One thing I've noticed the chickens become very stressed in the cages, when I get up late. So I would think if they are not free range the chickens would be stressed, rather or not this would affect the eggs I don't really know. Buy both and which ever yolk is more orange would be the better egg.
