Re: water fasting to help lower high blood pressure?
I'll stick with it then. it doesn't seem that difficult so far. I am already committed to a lifestyle change to be healthier. I had already lost about 25
pounds before starting my
Water Fast by doing low carb diet and some exercise. I'm not sure exactly how long I should do the
Water Fast for. Originally I was shooting for 10 days but I read some post on here that said 12 days is the average
Water Fast length for regulating blood pressure?
I was planning on doing the water fast then doing a few days of vegetable juice after it before eating solid food again. and probably doing some kind of low carb diet again afterwords but I want to avoid some of the low carb food that seems bad for blood pressure. I've had a lot of success losing weight with low carb dieting though. I plan on starting to exercise a lot more after I'm done fasting also. probably a lot of walking/jogging and elliptical.
I went from 287 to 212 a couple years ago but I got distracted by some highly stressful real life events. during that time my doctor put me on blood pressure meds when I went in needing
Antibiotics for something else. I lacked the motivation to get started again until I was 273. Now I'm down to 243 but I would like to get to 185 and then reevaluate my goals a little.
