Mark - well done! I would say, though, don't leave it up to your dentist as to whether you need a root canal or not. root canals are major profit centers for dentists and seem to be their cure of choice for just about any tooth pain for that very reason.

Why tooth infections are dealt with by killing the tooth is absolutely beyond me. Thank God they don't deal with ear or foot infections the same way. The way i look at it, you can always kill the tooth when all else has failed. But if you can cure the infection, why would you want to?

I also had a horribly painful tooth infection that the dentist wanted to do a root canal on (actually 2). I OP'd with oregano oil, swished with Colloidal Silver and got rid of the pain and infection to this day. Would the dentist still recommend a root canal? No doubt (gas for his Hummer hasn't gone down lately). Am I glad that I still have the painfree healthy tooth in my mouth rather than a dead one on a screw? And no $2K fee or 4 hours of agony in the chair? Don't leave it up to them!!
