Re: gallbladder sludge
Hi Rhonda, I'm no expert but a few thoughts pop into mind:
Did you do the
parasite cleansing before your liver flushes?
The very first time I tried to flush, I vomited up all the oil too at about 2am. My naturopath said my body wasn't ready to release the stones and I needed to do more cleansing. I went on a very strict vegan alkaline, (no cooked fat) diet for 3 months, took liver support herbs (can't remember what because this was 7 years ago), did 3 enemas a week (red clover or coffee). Then fasted for 3 days leading up to the cleanse (I think I drank organic apple juice while fasting).
The second attempt (that I now refer to as my first flush in other postings), I followed my instincts and only drank my limit. I was following the method described in "Herbs of Grace" by Farida Sharan (my naturopath was one of Farida's students and it was Farida who said I needed to do more cleansing after I brought up the oil and my naturopath rang her). This time was successful.
These days, I do
Hulda Clark 's method only because the oil is easier to get down when mixed with the grapefruit juice. A couple of months ago, I desperately tried to do a flush as I had let it all build up again through bad diet etc and had a couple of mild attacks. A friend warned me to make sure my bowels were moving and my body was ready but I didn't listen. Well, I vomited and there went my flush! The next two weeks, I was strict with my diet, took liver support supplement (containing inositol, dandelion, L-cysteine, lecithin, folic acid, etc). This time, I could drink it no problem, it even tasted nice!
The two times I vomited (first time 7 years ago and then again recently), I was a bit stressed and anxious. My most successful cleanses have been when I am relaxed and feel ready.
I don't know if this has been helpful but my advice is: relax, take it easy, you can take control of your health. Be thankful that you don't have any large stones!! Experiment and find the cleanse that is best for you. Maybe try a different oil. See Oleg's posting on grapeseed oil. I also combat nausea by sucking on a lemon 1/4 and sniffing peppermint oil on a tissue. Try not to get up after you have taken the oil. Last time, it was getting up to go to the bathroom that made me vomit. I had overdone it by taking
Epsom Salts AND doing an enema because I was constipated and this gave me the runs. Not a good idea when you are trying to keep down the oil!
Good luck to you and keep us posted!!
