Re: Problems at work place - Signs of being fired

I hate this is happening to you. I had a similar situation when I worked for a major airline, but it wasn't just me, it was my team (of 5) and we were of all races, but we were the only clerical staff working weekends. Our problem was all work was done by 12 noon on Saturday and we were never able to have a 3 or 4 day weekend. We were not allowed to use our vacation time to even extend a bided vacation to give us 7 days off. The other clerks in the office didn't have these restrictions. We were called trouble makers and told if we wanted our jobs, we would leave it alone. Well we didn't. We ended up writing the home office, especially because this was a time the company was down sizing and trying to save money. So to have us there on Sundays with absolutely nothing to do, just wasn't acceptable. We did get what we wanted, but the next realm of punishment was to have rotating shifts, which that too, never happened.

It was always a battle in that office. Once 911 happened, I took a company early retirement and I didn't want the hassle of Corporate America any longer, so I found a way to work from home by having my own home business. Now I absolutely love what I do. I work with a team of moms and dads. We get together over the phone, have training, celebrations and just have fun.

I hope things will work out for you or you will find something else first.

Good luck.
