Essential Oil treatments?

Hi, I have a friend who is suffering from costochondritis to the point that she has trouble breathing at times. I've been looking around for essential oil treatments but haven't been able to find anything. I know about the fish oil, but I was looking more into something that could be used in massage, etc. She has a high drug tolerance so none of the "normal" medicines have worked with her. Any ideas?
