Re: does charlie's tonic work?

That is a good and very valid question.  If you have to continue taking any medicine or remedy, then you really aren't cured - you are just in chronic health care.  Too many people want a magic pill, potion or treatment that will allow them to skip out on personal responsiblity to exercise, drink clean water, eat a healthy diet, live a healthy lifestyle, get adequate sunshine and fresh air, make sure they have adequate amounts of all the vital nutrients, etc.

How much easier (they think) it would be to continue wallowing on the sofa or recliner, eat junk food, fast food and microwaved dinners, smoke, drink alcohol to excess, and watch reality TV to the point that they have to put motorized shopping carts under their obese butts to go up and down the junk, candy and ice cream aisles at Wally World - just so long as they can take a pill of twenty to manage all the symptoms of the ill health their lifestyles and side effect laden drugs bring them.

All of Charlie's wrong opinions about health and nutrition seem to send that same kind of message: forget all that health stuff and just depend on my liver potion.  Keeping the liver healthy is a key - just like keeping your oil changed and your engine tuned up is an absolute must for an automobile.  Doing ONLY that will not keep your wheels from falling off though.
