does charlie's tonic work?

I pose this here as if I asked on his forum, I think I'd be banned for asking, besides being tarred and feathered.

I've read enough of his posting to see gapping inaccuracies, questionable herbal knowledge/experience, and poor health suggestions in general. nonetheless, some people are reporting success with his tonic.

this is my question for anyone believing they've found their answer....what is your definition of working? because cure to me is when a condition is resolved and you don't need to take anything for it anymore. cure isn't increased bowel movements while taking herbs. since charlie doesn't tell what his tonic contains, who knows exactly what's causing this.

however, what we do know about some herbs that increase bowel movement...these will work no matter what. they will work if you're dead and you put it on intestinal mucosa. so reports of increased bowel movement aren't that impressive to me. it certainly is not confirmation that one's condition is fixed.

if one's condition is resolved, that's when someone doesn't have to take anything anymore. problem is, no other measures of healthful living are encouraged in his approach....no diet changes, or correcting nutritional problems, or lifestyle or environments, nothing about heavy metals, no cleansing, no flushing stones out of the liver, of course he may say his liver tonic does everything.

the test is when you go off the tonic and what happens, is the condition same as before, or has there been lasting improvement. do they need to be on the tonic to have bowel movement. I see a long time customer in the making.

while I don't agree with his marketing or health knowledge or approach, or even his integrity...if the tonic has worked, then good for you. but, if you keep needing it, to feel a bit better or have bowel movement, this is not a success. that's dependency.
