hey...good for you for hanging in there. some of the things you describe remind me a lot of my first and second fasts that I completed this year. It is only after having fasted a few times that I "lost" hunger after a few days. The first fast, I thought about food the entire time, pretty much. I also experienced the shortness of breath, too. I live on a 3rd floor walkup and it was not fun! If it is any comfort, I have not experienced that in any of the numerous subsequent fasts this year. While I am not a seasoned faster, really, I will say that I believe the more in tune with your body you get through fasting, the more aware you will be about the 'true hunger' feeling as opposed to stomach pangs you may experience during your fast. peace, kozzz
