Re: Mirena

Hi, I am so sorry your daughter is not feeling well, I can't imagine how difficult it must be for you. I don't know what to say, except that I've been to ER twice while I had the mirena in. Once, I was just freaking out about my chest pain and another time, I had a very real pain in one of my internal organs, closer to the back than the belly, sorry, I am not good with explanations, the pain was a 10 on a scale from 1 to 10. They gave me two shots, and the pain went away. I had some tests done too then. I went for a follow up with a doctor few days later and he pretty much dismissed the whole incident, he didn't know what it was and didn't even care. Like I stated in my previous posts, I've given birth to my daughter (I only have one) naturally, and this pain I went to ER for was as bad as giving birth. My point is that I still don't know what it was, but now I know it was caused by mirena, doing something weird to my body. Your daughter is not alone in this. Many of us have been through a lot with mirena. I know it doesn't make your situation any better. She is lucky to have you by her side. It would be 10 times harder to be on her own. Hang in there.
