That's a fair assessment even though many do drink it straight with no adverse effects (including myself at times), because if there is something else wrong in the body, a cleansing agent tends to expose these weaknesses and draw out undesired effects. This typically gets blamed on the herb, supplement, or in this case water.

Drinking copious amounts of any water water (whether from the ground or distilled) is not a good idea unless it is for a specific purpose or short duration. Water is taxing on the heart and kidneys. We should generally get the water we need from plants, but admittedly, that is an ideal that does suffer in today's world.
