All bits of Seafood/veg including bone...Obviously hard bones like clam shells take much longer. And if ever try it, this approach does not apply to sea-faring mammals.

However, for the hard shells I put them in a bucket of water for a month - then dilute for a foliar spray. The soak leaches out the water-soluble components, and the resultant bits crumble/breakdown much easier.

Technically against the law in US - But when I worked in a sushi bar in Japan I had many abalone shells. THe lichen & moss grows and breaks down the shell in a matter of weeks. A great soil amendment. Oyster & Crab shells are excellent too.

Obiviously a high concentration of salted/seasoned foods is not appropriate. But When diluted with other garden wastes is no problem.

Even the trub from homebrewing is excellent - This is the Vitamin B of several rooting feed mixtures.

You can get the fish waste from processing at the docks if you talk to the fishermen...
