Re: I am very constipated, help?
Hi Val, I'm surprised that as sensitive as your colon is that you are able to tolerate Fleet Enemas. More often, people who have used them describe sensations of burning, cramping, and spasms.
Have you tried a gentle saline enema using an enema bag instead of the Fleet? If you haven't, I would suggest that you start with 1 to 2 pints of warm filtered water at 103 degrees F, with one teaspoon of non-iodized, or preferably,
Sea Salt for each pint of water. Hang the bag no more than 1 1/2 - 2 ft above your hips while lying down, and let the water run in slowly.
I do colon hydrotherapy (colonics) in the office of a naturopathic physician, and that is almost certainly the procedure you describe in your posting that caused you to go into spasms. However,I also do administer enemas when the doctor orders them, and I suspect that a slow and gently administered saline enema may offer you some effective and welcome relief.
If you have any questions, or would like additional information on how to give yourself a safe and gentle cleansing enema, please don't hesitate to reply here on-line.
Sincerely, Valerie
