You could be right numbered one, but without knowing the details I would say they did have homeowners insurance, other wise I beleive the family would have worked something out and it never would have made the papers! Yes these insurence types and money lenders are evil and are obsessed with spreading misinfo and trying to weasel out of paying any way possible including discrediting common folk just trying to get by!
