I am like you, protein type and blood type a. I function well on the protein/veggie diet but it also makes me acidic. I don't know what the natureopath was talking about you being too alkaline- maybe she meant you need more acids to alkalize? I also test acidic though, and here is how I have recently helped my really bad acid/gerd:
